Deana Esmail
Founder and Chief Creative Officer“After I ran and finished the New York City Marathon (without ever having previously run a complete mile), I realized I could do anything I set my mind to. My life literally changed overnight. ”
Deana Esmail, born and raised in Denver, Colorado, received her formal education at ACC in Interior Design. After getting married in 2000, she moved to Valencia, Spain and started working for a prestigious home furnishing company. During her tenure, she was responsible for product development and merchandising. One of her product designs was awarded the prestigous “Nouvelles Decouvertes” at the Maison & Objet (Paris) home decorations show.
After giving birth to her first son, she decided to become a full time stay at home Mom. 5 years on (with two boys now), Deana decided it was time to get back into shape (hence the marathon) and start something of her own.
Drawing on her creative and personal experiences she wanted to create a place where woman could express their creativity as well as empower themselves. Delusha is the result of her passion.
Nizar Jalbout
Advisory Board Member“I guess I am a serial entrepreneur. Growing up in Toronto, my sister and I used to mow lawns, shovel snow and wash cars in the neighborhood to make some extra money.”
Nizar, a Canadian, graduated from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario and subsequently worked in the marketing department at a fast moving consumer goods company in Toronto. He recieved his MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona.
Marcel Kalveram
Head Programmer“I absolutely love to programme; it is not my work; it is my passion and hobby. I consider myself lucky to have “picked” this profession. It is the perfect mix of science and creativity.”
Marcel has made Valencia home, after graduating from the the University of Applied Sciences of Dusseldorf. Marcel is a truly unique kind of programmer; he not only has great technical skills, but also a deep understanding of usability and a very good graphic design eye.
Before joining Delusha, Marcel worked in Dusseldorf at U.Com Media as a digital media assistant. He also spent 2 years working freelance on a wide range of pan European internet projects.
